Dan Sodergren in The Daily Express. Talking about being diagnosed with #Type2Diabetes...

Did you see me?

Right next to some of the biggest names in the war on Type2Diabetes.

Well one minute I am signing Hugh’s letter to Jeremy_hunt asking him to respond to serious questions about the obesity crisis and what government are going to do about it.

And the next minute. I am in a newspaper next to him.
With us all campaigning to tax sugar companies to help STOP Type2Diabetes.

You probably didn't see it. So here's a picture above and the piece below.

Taken from the Express article.
"Dan Sodergren had all the hallmarks of Type 2 diabetes when he was diagnosed. He said: "I knew something was wrong when I went to the doctors.

"I was always thirsty, I didn't sleep well and I was putting on weight. I had tingling in my feet."

With Halloween just around the corner in October, he was forced to tell his seven-year-old daughter Mia that he wouldn't be having any seasonal sweets.

He said: "Due to having Type 2 diabetes such sugary sweets were a "no-no" for my health." The digital marketing expert was told that due to his race he was six times more likely to develop the condition.

"If I had known that I would have lived life very differently," said the 42-year-old.

"And my daughter with me as her dad would be twice as likely, to inherit it, which was the news that scared me the most."

Here's the whole piece... For proof :)

And do you know - that's the TRUTH for me...
It was more scary what might happen to my daughter Mia rather than to me.
Maybe it's the same for you? I don't know. So that's me.
That's part of my story. A dad who worked too hard, partied too hard, didn't eat a lot of cake... and ending up getting Type2Diabetes. And ended up getting into a national newspaper too.
And this is just the start. I now want to join the WAR effort.
The next part of my story. Is OUR story. How we together can...
STOP TYPE 2 DIABETES.
Here's to you and your journey.
